Hello all!  I realize there aren’t many out there reading my posts but I wanted to apologize for not posting more often.  I get so busy with my day-job and weekend projects that my blog tends to get behind.

If you have read my blog during the past few months, you know my mother passed away in March and that my step-daughter was in an automobile accident on Mother’s Day.

The loss of my mother continues to come in waves of explainable emotion but I am working through with the help of her sister and my wonderful husband.

As for my step-daughter, she is still recovering.  She was with a group of friends when the truck she was riding in blew through an intersection and crossed 4 lanes of traffic and was hit by and oncoming vehicle.

Her leg was broken to the point they thought she would lose her foot.  Fortunately, they were able to save her leg/foot and she is on the road to recovery.

She is in a cast and unable to apply pressure but it is just a matter of time before she is learning to walk again with the help of physical therapy.

Please continue to keep us all in your prayer as we muddle through this.

  1. First of all I wish you the very best. I know, having been where you are now, that in the end you and your family will be so much stronger. As for the death of your mother, I don’t think you ever get over that. My mother died in 2001. It is now 2016 and if I think about her or talk about her with my sister we end up in tears. But that is better than NOT grieving at all.
She will be present in so many ways! In the tilt of a head or maybe your hand. You will think of something she said and realize you just said the same thing and you will laugh. I can say more but I think you get my drift. She will always be there in you mind and heart and that will eventually come to be a comfort.
